Who we are
Appliance Geeks is an appliance repair company in Portland and Salem, Oregon. Customers call our business lines: (503) 850-0052 in Portland and (503) 487-5848 in Salem. When our staff can’t pick up, our AI phone assistant answers the call.
How you opt in
You opt in out loud, on a phone call with us. There is no other way to sign up for this text. Near the end of a call about a repair where nothing was booked, just before it says goodbye, our phone assistant asks, word for word:
“Appliance Geeks can text you our prices and a link to book online. It's one text, message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Would you like that text?”
- Only a yes opts you in. If you say no, don’t answer, or your answer is unclear, nothing is sent and the assistant does not ask again on that call. After a no, we will not offer or send you this text again.
- We keep a record of each yes with the call: your phone number and the date and time of the call.
- Agreeing to the text is optional. It is not a condition of any purchase or service.
The text you get
One text from (971) 290-2430, exactly as shown, with your first name and the appliance you called about filled in:
If we don’t have your first name, the text starts with “Hello”. If we don’t know the appliance, it says “your appliance repair”.
How often
- One text for a yes, and never more than one a week to the same phone number.
- Texts go out only between 8 AM and 8 PM Pacific time. After a call outside those hours, the text comes after 8 AM.
- Message and data rates may apply.
Stop or get help
- Reply STOP and we will not text you again.
- Reply START to receive messages again.
- Reply HELP for help, or call us at (503) 850-0052 or email help@appliance-geeks.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
